Usage Review and Approval Process

All copy, advertising, promotional, sales, and other marketing materials using the XRD® trademark, name, or promotional materials must be approved by the XRD Technology marketing team before any use. Prior to using any of the stated items requires a written request to be submitted to the XRD® Technology marketing team 10 business days in advance of using.

Please submit a completed “XRD Trademark and Marketing Approval Form” to your local XRD Protection marketing representative for approval.

Sewn-In Tags and Hang Tags

A series of standard labels are available for use by XRD® Technology brand partners who have received design and product approval for their use of XRD® Materials. Orders for sewn-in apparel tags and hang tags must be placed with the Rogers Customer Service Team while ordering your XRD® Materials. A completed “On-Product Branding and Materials Request Application” must accompany your order.

Logo and Trademark Usage

  • “XRD” must always appear in all-capital letters.
  • In text or ad copy where the “XRD” name will be used more than once, the registered superscript “®” must be used in the first appearance of the word “XRD” in text. Subsequent references to “XRD” in the same copy text or document need not carry the registration mark.
  • An approved capitalized “descriptor” must always follow the “XRD®” registered trademark name. Examples of approved descriptors include:
    • XRD® Extreme Impact Protection
    • XRD® Protection
    • XRD® Technology
    • XRD® Materials
  • Additional descriptors may be approved by contacting the XRD Materials marketing team

Logo and Trademark Usage

  • Logo Usage Guidelines
    • The XRD® Protection logo and related product logos must appear in its original logomark form, as shown above.
    • The logomark should not be used without the preferred descriptor.
      • For example: XRD® Extreme Impact Protection
    • The area surrounding the logomark should remain free of type or other imagery so that nothing completes with the logomark for the viewers’ attention.
    • The XRD® Protection logomark must not be redrawn, re-proportioned, altered or modified in any way. It must not be printed on any angle other than horizontal.
  • Logo Color Options
    • The XRD® Impact Protection logomark should be printed in 2-color using black with the “XRD Yellow” PMS 107C (C=0 M=4 Y=79 K=0)
    • In reverse, the XRD® Impact Protection logomark letters appear in white on black and still uses the “XRD Yellow” PMS 107C (C=0 M=4 Y=79 K=0)
  • Logo Permitted Use
    • Preferred XRD® Impact Protection Logo - To be used on products, in sales and marketing literature, websites and other promotional materials

    • Secondary XRD® Protection logo - To be used only when Preferred XRD Protection logo cannot be printed clearly. For example: in small letter sewn stitching

    • XRD® “X” - To be used as in icon and only in promotional materials that also accompanies the use of the Preferred XRD® Extreme Impact Protection Logo.

    • Protected by XRD® Technology Shield – To be used as an icon in promotional materials that also accompanies the use of the Preferred XRD® Extreme Impact Protection Logo.

Usage of Registered Trade Name in Copy

The following rules are to be followed when including the XRD® Technology trade name in sales/marketing literature, promotional materials or any other copy:
